EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAMS FOR HEALTHY LIVING
The Older Americans Act provides for programs that support healthy lifestyles, promote healthy behaviors and help keep people well through proactive, preventive measures.
Research has shown that the Preventive Health programs offered by United Way Area Agency on Aging can help you build confidence in your ability to be physically active, which in turn can increase balance and strength, reduce joint pain and improve your overall health.
These programs are available at no cost to all residents of Jefferson County age 60 and older.
