The United Way Area Agency on Aging of Jefferson County (UWAAA) is requesting proposals from applicants interested in providing contracted legal services for older individuals and persons with disabilities. Applicants must demonstrate capacity to offer no-cost legal advice and representation provided by an attorney to older individuals with economic or social needs as defined in the Older Americans Act, Sections 102(a)(23 and (24). UWAAA’s Legal Assistance Program is supported by Older Americans Act Title III-B funds awarded by the Administration for Community Living and the Alabama Department of Senior Services.
