Whether you need to sign up for the first time or make changes to the coverage you already have, the professionals from SHIP (the State Health Insurance Assistance Program) are here to help. We review your individual circumstances and provide free, easy-to-understand, unbiased information to help you choose the Medicare benefits that are best for you. We can also help determine eligibility for low-income assistance and help with prescription drugs.

And if none of the dates of the events is convenient, you can always call 1-800-AGE-LINE (1-800-243-5463) to make an appointment with a SHIP Medicare expert at United Way Area Agency on Aging, 3600 8th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35222.
What to Bring: 
Medicare cards (Red, White and Blue if you have them); Social Security card; proof of gross monthly income (letter from Social Security or current pay stub); list of medications by name and daily dosage and quantity.
