ATTENTION SOCIAL WORKERS and all professionals who work with our aging population: On Friday, April 14th, United Way Area Agency on Aging will host a free community education event addressing lingering issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Topics will include:
- The impact of COVID-19 on seniors’ mental health.
- COVID-19’s impact on family dynamics.
- Recent and upcoming changes to COVID-19 health care coverage.
- Vaccine hesitancy.
- Resources available through United Way of Central Alabama’s COVID Response Program for people affected by the virus.
- Other important updates.
Breakfast will be served and social work CEUs will be provided.
